My wife and I run our photography, design and art studio as well as homeschool our three kids. Our day consists of learning combined with business for most of the day.
What challenge in your life or work are you most interested in overcoming?
Prioritizing the Musts.

Inspire and lead young adults.

Small town community all while having access to larger city resources.

I live at the intersection of father/husband and creator.

A willingness to look outside the norm.
What’s one current trend you think will change the world?
What’s the best way to put inspiration into action?
Write it down… make it real.
What’s the greatest risk you’ve taken?
Moving to the OTA region from the West Coast and attempting to implement a vision much larger than me.
What’s your biggest failure, and what did you learn from it?
My biggest failure is trying to make it on my own, and I fail daily. From this I’ve learned that I can’t make it on my own. I can never be good enough or come up with the best ideas in myself. My value and inspiration only comes through Christ and in Him ALL things are possible.
Who do you hope to leave a legacy for?
Calvin, Edward, and Penelope’s children.
The OTA Builders are a group of individuals who thrive on possibility and use all opportunities they are given to grow both in their careers and in their passions. We seek creatives who are tenacious and strong-willed movers and doers and are driven to make a significant impact on the people around them and the community they call home. These people recognize their talents and capabilities and find ways to continuously grow and learn from them. Why is this you?
Because I have an amazing support in my wife! Together we are building an art/creative/design/fellowship/community focused space that will function with the sole purpose of enabling our community to learn how to create. Not merely a space to take an art or photography class or get a dynamite espresso, but learn how to be a creator in all aspects of life. Whether that’s learning to build a box, paint a canvas, make a pie crust, or build a leader, this space will be a hub of creation!
What project (passion or professional) do you plan to focus on as part of the OTA Builders Program?
Building “the Studio.”
What change / advancement do you hope to achieve as part of the OTA Builders Program?
Broader access to resources and vision.
